Union of Sahrawi Journalists and Writers condolences Mauritanian people in the death of the great poet “Kabir Mohammed Hashim”

The Union of Sahrawi Journalists and Writers expressed on Monday, its deep condolences to the Mauritanian people after the death of Mauritanian poet “Kabir Mohammed Hashem”.

A statement by the union highlighted that “The departure of the great poet Kabir Hashim, will leave a great impact on the cultural scene in the region. His culture, poetry, morals and strong will, bearing the banner of literature in his country and nation”.

The Union of Sahrawi Journalists and Writers, stressed that The palm poet was the symbol of all of us, and on the day he took over the presidency of the Union of Arab Writers, he was carrying the purity of our vast desert and shining there through its purity and originality.

The Union added that Mauritania’s loss of the poet Kabir Hashim is also a loss for the Sahrawis, and that we share sadness as we share the features of common identity and cultural heritage.
